Guy#37: Mr. “Hates his own race”

Are you involved with a sell-out??

To put it blunt, this so-called “brotha” hates black people. He can’t stand us! He distances himself from all things black culture. He has no respect for anything that has to do with blackness. If you didn’t know that this guy was black, you would assume that he’s some racist redneck white boy! This guy has lived his entire life trying to be someone that he’s not, denying his heritage.

There are many reasons why he might be this way:

Maybe he grew up or currently lives in the suburbs around a lot of whites and few blacks.
He thinks he’s better than other blacks because of his “higher education”.
He thinks he’s better than other blacks because he has some “big shot” job.
Etc....

This kind of guy typically has had bad “experiences” with other blacks. Other blacks may ridicule him. Other blacks may intimidate him. The negative way he feels about his own race is often due to the influence that others have on him. People who hate their own race stick together. Now that doesn’t mean that because you’re involved with this guy that you must hate your own race. And that’s one of the reasons why you couldn’t possibly be with this guy for long. This guy’s constant ranting and raving filled with hatred about his own race will piss you off so bad that any chick that’s proud to be black will roll out.

So, if you’re involved with Mr. “Hates his own race” and you think one day you might actually marry this guy....
